This box is for an educational / gaming system designed for children from the first to 4th grade. It is designed to hold an tablet with an educational app, study content, a pop-up with a board game, and some playing pieces, dice and stickers. The box was designed to hold all the different items to be packed into it without the contents moving excessively. The tablet is designed to sit at the base, and it is held in place by side wall which will prevent movement, while at the same time allow easy access. Books sit on top of this (resting on the side walls,followed by a tray which holds the different items. The lid holds a pop-up card which opens up into a 3-dimensional board game. The lid is held in place by two magnets, one on each side.
Materials used: Rigid binding board, Art Paper, Coated Folding Box Board
Standout features: The pop-up involved lot of R&D to look right, as well as minimize the components (important, as the volume was high). The inner fitment also involved lot of structural design to fit all theitems in the minimum space possible, to ensure the best economy of production.
